knowing that the driver is under the influence of alcohol Imprisonment with forced labor for up to 2 years, or fine of 300,000 yen or less

*A passengers who has driver's license knowing that the driver is drunk or under the influence of alcohol is also subject to administrative disposition.

Providing drunk driver with alcohol and/or vehicle is now severely punished than ever!
Offering a vehicle to a drunk person who is likely or about to drive in case that the driver is drunk Imprisonment with forced labor for up to 5 years, or fine of 1 million yen or less

In "Designated Driver Campaign" a driver is designated not to drink alcohol while dining with friends or colleagues and later to be in charge of driving them home.
