History

  • 1899 Established as "Kyoto Prefectural Fisheries Training School" in Yanaginawate, Miyazu
  • 1906 Moved to Tsuruga, Miyazu and newly constructed
  • 1942 Renamed as "Kyoto Prefectural Fisheries Experimental Station"
  • 1976 Moved to Odashukuno, Miyazu, expanded and reorganized as "Kyoto Institute of Oceanic and Fishery Science" 
  • 2009 Reorganized as "Fisheries Technology Department of the Kyoto Prefectural Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Technology Center"
