Traditional events (Tamba)

Since the fireworks centering on Warimono and Star Mine are the main attraction, they can be seen from anywhere in the vicinity of the point from which they are launched. The recommended place to view the fireworks is the dry riverbed upstream at Sonobe Ohashi Bridge. People enjoy the sight of the lanterns, lit and floating side by side on the water, and above them the fireworks exploding with great bursts of energy.

From Sonobe Station on the JR Sagano Line take a Kyoto Kotsu Bus to Sonobe Ohashi, or simply walk 15 minutes from Sonobe Station.
