Moto Ise Hassaku Festival

This festival originated when people prayed for rain during a drought. People in Edo-Period costumes parading through the streets waving 2.5 meter long feather-spear is a dynamic spectacle which overwhelms those watching. There is also traditional folk dancing and an archery tournament at this festival.
