Sagano Tram (Sagano Kanko Railway)

How about taking a leisurely tram ride from Sagano to Kameoka? Although it's only a short distance of 7.3 km, its' a nice feeling to look through the big window and see the train moving along in the wind - as if it were part of the natural landscape. Whether it's the cherry blossoms in the spring, the green of summer or the leaves in autumn, it's nice to enjoy the wonderful beauty of the Hozugawa River valley in any season. And there is a bus from Torokko Kameoka Station going to the wharf where you can catch a boat going down Hozugawa River. So if you have the time, how about enjoying a boat ride down the river? Since this is a very popular excursion among Japanese tourists around the time of the cherry blossoms and the autumn leaves, it would be best to purchase a ticket in advance. You can rent a bicycle at Torokko Saga Station for bike tours around the Sagano area.
