Cherry Trees Lining Maekawa River
Some 300 cherry trees line both sides of the Maekawa River embankment. In the spring crowds of people come here to relax. Most of these cherry trees are of a type called "somei yoshino". At night they are lit up, creating a magnificent spectacle.
