Shizushi Limestone Cave Park

Shizushi Limestone, unique in the Japan as the sole cave of its type in a surburban area, was accidently discovered in 1927 by a local huntsman. This inside of the cave is comprised of 4 main sections. Its total length is 52.5m and its deepest part is 25.1m below the cave mouth. The size of the cave is relatively modest, but large undulations and complex passages abound testing one's adventurous spirit. The surrounding forest has park facilities, a campsite and birdwatching can also be enjoyed.
