The most concentrated cluster among the approximate 70 red brick buildings in Maizuru is this cluster of 12 red brick warehouses. These buildings were built by the Japanese Navy as part of the Maizuru Naval Station. As brick buildings are a relative rarity in Japan, the place is said to feel like being in a foreign country.
