The Kumihama Tourist Information center can be found inside the Kumihama Station Building. The station is modeled on the Prefectural Office front entrance building that existed in the then Kumihama Prefecture at the start of the Meiji Period. Advice concerning accommodation, restaurants, recommendations for sightseeing itineraries and so on is available. Free bicycle rental is also available (although a returnable security deposit of 1000 yen is required). Wheelchairs are also available. Every Sunday from 8:30am Kumihama Morning Market takes place (Nov-Mar from 9:00am) where a variety of local specialties, seasonal vegetable and household dishes are available.
