Asahiyaki Pottery

Asahiyaki Pottery has been in Uji for over 400 years. Nestling between rice fields and near to the scenic Uji River at this pottery it's possible to experience making your own teacup or bowl. Beginners need not worry, as full explanation will be given. After firing your finished work will be sent to you (within 1-2 months). At the pottery museum the works of successive generations of potters are on show. Booking in Japanese or through an interpreter.
