Katsura' Kyoto Dolls
A Kyoto Doll workshop spanning generations of doll makers. You can even experience making a 'hina' doll yourself here. Japanese paper is wrapped on the ceramic doll and a simple design is added. The teachers kindly explain the process, and so even those without confidence in detailed work such as this will be alright. It will take some time, but is sure to make a great experience. Bookings must be made in Japanese/though an interpreter.
