Near to the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine can be found one of Kyoto's foremost Wagashi (Japanese Sweet) shops. They even stock sweets used at ceremonies held at the Imperial Court. Eating sweets you've made yourself is sure to add to your eating enjoyment, and here you can experience making your own handmade Wagashi. You can taste a sweet with Japanese green tea - and take the remainder home as souvenirs. Early bookings recommended (in Japanese). Please be on time.
