Toyo Chikuko

Rakusai has been a region producing high quality bamboo products since olden times. The area has produced a great many bamboo works. From small items such as baskets and vases, to lighting and furniture interior pieces, various types of bamboo crafts are displayed and available for sale. There is also a workshop where you can try your hand at making a flower basket and carving a bamboo teaspoon as is used in Japanese tea ceremony. Reservations should be made in Japanese/through an interpreter.
