Sanjo-dori street
Passing by the west side of Sanjo Bridge, near where the Ikedaya Incident (involving the Shinsengumi) occurred, and where the former hideout of Sakamoto Ryoma was located, and where Sakuma Shozan and Ohmura Masujiro were assassinated, you will come to the Sanjo Shopping District. This is one of the oldest shopping districts in Kyoto. It is always crowded with young people.
