In March 2004, hot spring was opened in Arashiyama, popular amongst tourists for world heritage Tenryuji temple and Arashiyama Hanatouro (Lanterns and Flower Lane) during winter time. Hot springs can be enjoyed with the superb view of Arashiyama. It is weak alkaline hot spring, temperature of the water is 35.2 degrees Celsius, and 81 liters of slightly clouded hot spring is gushed out every minute. Hot springs can be enjoyed in 7 hot spring facilities in the local area. In addition, “Station Footbathing” inside Kyofuku Arashiyama station draws the hot spring as well.

Take either Hankyu to “Arashiyama” station, Keihan to “Arashiyama” station, JR Sagano Line to “Saga Arashiyama” station.
