Ohara Hot Springs

Ohara Hot Springs opened in July 2004 about 15km northeast away from central Kyoto. Ohara was popular as the summer resort/villa of the noble for a long time and has the tourist attractions such as Sanzen-in Temple, Jakko-in, keeping the scenery of a simple Japanese mountain village. The hot water temperature of the gush mouth is 27.9 degrees Celsius, 120 liters of clear/colorless hot water gush out every minute. It is weak alkaline hot spring and can be enjoyed in 3 lodges in Ohara.

Access :
Take city bus from JR Kyoto station, Kyoto subway kokusai kaikan station, Keihan Demachi Yanagi station to “Ohara”.
