Amity Tango (Tango Foundation for the Promotion of Local Industry Center)
Silk products, fishing and agricultural goods, local sakes, beers, and various types of craftworks, produced in the Tango region are displayed and can all be bought here under one roof. At the Tango morning market taking place every Sunday, fresh vegetables, fish, and 'tsukudani' (food preserved by boiling in soy sauce) can be found. There are also displays of local produce and you can watch silk products being made. (Displays last approx. 30 mins. Groups over 4 should apply in advance). You can also experience dyeing your own Tango silk handkerchief. (Appox. 40 mins required)
