Kyoto Prefectural Tango Folk Museum / Former Home of Nagashima

This museum, which presents the history and culture of Tango, exhibits materials having to do with the archeology, history and folk traditions of this area, in chronological order beginning from the Jomon Period. The Former Home of Nagashima is designated by the prefectural government as a tangible cultural property. Tools and implements used in everyday life are on display at the residence. It also has a workshop where visitors can try their hand at papermaking and making soba (buckwheat noodles).
