Chado Research Center
The Chado Research Center was founded in 1979. It was the conception of Hounsai, fifteenth-generational master of the Urasenke School. The museum is located in the Urasenke Center in Kamigyo-ku. The museum is a center of tea ceremony research and holds a vast collection of tea ceremony related documents. Tea ceremony related artworks are displayed in the exhibition rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. The second floor is home to the Konnichian Collection and its some 40,000 tea ceremony related books and documents.
