Omotesenke Kitayama-Kaikan, located in Kamikamo, was opened in 1994 to spread tea ceremony culture through a wide range of society. Since 1996, in addition to special exhibits held in fall, the museum holds a tea ceremony class to put people into close contact with tea ceremony culture. An annual event is attended by many people, who come to make close contact with the traditions and culture of the tea ceremony.
