Gallery Rakuchu Rakugai

'Rakuchu Rakugai Map' (cityscape map) was reconstructed using Kyoyaki and Kiyomizuyaki, and is being displayed in a pottery gallery. Items from the Muromachi Period (Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum collection) are reconstructed to their original form. Also famous in this collection are anecdotes presented to Uesugi Kenshin from Oda Nobunaga.Painted are events and places showing the beauty of all four seasons, such as of Gion Matsuri Festival and a snow-covered Golden Pavilion. Enjoy Kyoto in the Muromachi Period through this peek through time.
