Higashi-hongan-ji Temple
This is the headquarters of the Otani sub-sect of the Jodo Shin-shu Sect of Buddhism. In the Mikage-do building, which is one of the largest wooden structures in the world, there is an enshrined statue of Shinran, as well as the famous 'kezuna' (a thick braided rope made from the donated hair of parishoners). Its garden is worth visiting.
