Kennin-ji Temple
This is the oldest Zen temple in the city and is the headquarters of the Kenninji sub-sect of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism. Their panel painting, 'Fu-jin Rai-jin zu' (Wind & Thunder Gods), is worth seeing. They offer 'zazen' (Zen meditation) practice and a lecture in the morning of the 2nd Sunday of the month (except in August).
