Kifune-jinja Shrine
This shrine has been a place to honour the god of water since the beginning of the Heian period. It is known for 'ushino koku mairi' (worship service at 2 in the morning), and for being the place where Izumi Shikibu, a female writer in the Heian period, came to pray for the return of her husband's love.
