Kyoto-ryozen-gokoku-jinja Shrine
This shrine was founded in the first year of the Meiji period to honor samurai warriors, such as Sakamoto Ryoma and Nakaoka Shintaro, who lost their lives in the Meiji Ishin (revolution). The path from here to Higashiyama Street is named the 'Ishin' walk.
