’Kyoto Digital Canal Network’
Information-oriented society has developed quickly in recent years, and IT has penetrated every field, including education, medical, disaster prevention, industry, and public administration. The sheer amount of information has been increasing dramatically.
In response to this situation, Kyoto Prefecture is promoting the foundation of advanced information communication in this region through the ’Kyoto Digital Canal Network’.
The ’Kyoto Digital Canal Network’ offers the benefits of information communication to Kyoto prefectural residents, and encourages exchange and cooperation between regions and people inside and outside Kyoto, this making the region more attractive.

There are currently 135 organizations (91 cases) utilizing the ’Kyoto Digital Canal Network’.
