Crustaceans and other invertabrates found in Kyoto Prefecture fall into 43 species from 28 families and 17 orders, of which no extinct, no critically endangered, one endangered, two vulnerable, and three near threatened & least concern species are listed in the Kyoto Prefecture Red Data Book. Of the species observed in the prefecture, threatened species account for 13.9%.

Outline
The male and female of this species have lengths of up to 20 mm and 23 mm, respectively. The body color is green to greenish gray. For breeding, this species needs a still-water environment where planktons can live.
