Endangered land snails in Kyoto Prefecture

Land snails found in Kyoto Prefecture fall into 114 species from 25 families and three orders, of which no extinct, four critically endangered, eight endangered, 16 vulnerable, and 15 near threatened & least concern species are listed in the Kyoto Prefecture Red Data Book. Of the species observed in the prefecture, threatened species account for 37.7%.
