Sumiyama Tougei(ceramic art)

Have a tour of the pottery workshops, and try your hand at moulding and painting your own creations. 10 potteries which also provide sales and orders. Pieces can be completed and sent off after about 20 days.

Arasu Tourist Sweet Potato Harvesting Plantation

arasu_tourisutEvery autumn, Terada sweet potatoes are harvested in Arasu. The flooding of the Kizu river brings sand and silt to make the ground ideal for cultivating sweet potatoes, and has been used so for 200 years, yielding soft potatoes with a sweet flavour similar to chestnuts. Here you can experience the harvesting of these Terada sweet potatoes amongst the local nature.

Here you can pick large, organically-grown muscat berry A type grapes. (All-you-can-eat within the plantation). Sales of figs also available.
