印刷屋さんでありながら、美術工芸支援をなさっている株式会社からふね屋（京都市）（外部リンク）さん。

大正10年(1921年)の創業以来、木版印刷・活版印刷の頃から、お客様のいろいろなニーズに対し、協力会社をはじめ、時にはデザイナー・カメラマン・イラストレーターなどクリエイターの方々とのネットワークで対処し、常に満足いただけるよう取り組んできたと言います。Since our founding in 1921, from the time of woodblock printing and letterpress printing, we have responded to the various needs of our customers through a network of partner companies and sometimes creators such as designers, photographers, and illustrators. 現在もオフセット印刷による印刷、スクリーン印刷による美術印刷、表装作品などオリジナル紙製品やWEBサイトの企画、製作など幅広く手掛けておられます。Currently, we are involved in a wide range of projects, including offset printing, fine art printing using screen printing, original paper products such as mounting works, and the planning and production of websites.

うちわ・扇子 Fan

同社にはギャラリー（外部リンク）があり、鞄そのたの工芸品に加えて、うちわや扇子も並んでいます。それらの販売だけでなく、オリジナルのうちわや扇子の受託もなさっているのです。The company has a gallery where, in addition to bags and other handicrafts, there are also fans and fans. In addition to selling these items, they also take orders for original fans and folding fans.

オシャレな千鳥型うちわや、かわいらしい豆うちわが目を引きます。千鳥型うちわとは、14世紀頃に倭寇によって、朝鮮の団扇が京都・伏見に伝わったもので、当時「京(都)うちわ」として貴族の間で流行ったものです。Stylish zigzag fans and cute bean fans are eye-catching. The plover-shaped fan is a Korean fan brought to Fushimi, Kyoto by Japanese pirates around the 14th century, and was popular among aristocrats at the time as the ``Kyo (Miyako) fan.''

Kogei Art KYOTO

そうしたネットワークから生まれたのが「Kogei Art KYOTO（外部リンク）」です。19世紀には、日本の浮世絵などの芸術作品がヨーロッパに伝わり、印象派やアールヌーボーに大きな影響を与えました。このブームは1920年代まで続き、ジャポニスムと呼ばれました。“Kogei Art KYOTO” was born from this network. In the 19th century, Japanese works of art such as ukiyo-e were introduced to Europe and had a great influence on Impressionism and Art Nouveau. This boom lasted until the 1920s and was called Japonism.
